Kindness Kits
๐ A Kit for the Nurse Who Showed Up
McKinney, TX ยท August 2026
What Happened
A nurse from LoDeana's church went above and beyond during a deeply personal time, helping with her mother's care, completely free of charge. She gave her time, her expertise, and her heart.
So PIK gave back. A custom Kindness Kit, built from supplies already in our bin, accumulated from clients and community, was curated and delivered to her. No cost. All love.
The Impact
- A caregiver who pours out was poured into
- She felt seen, appreciated, and valued
- Proof that kindness kits don't require a budget, they require intention
- PIK's model in action: accumulated resources redistributed with purpose
"Sometimes the people who need to be seen most are the ones who spend their whole lives seeing others."
Senior Support
๐ต Linda's Story, Neighbor Helping Neighbor
Senior Support, Nextdoor, McKinney TX
What Happened
We posted on Nextdoor that we had adult diapers, wipes, and pads to donate. Got suggestions on places to donate... But then Linda responded.
What She Said
She shared how much she could USE them, and how EXPENSIVE they are. This is a real need that many seniors face in silence.
What We Did
We gave them DIRECTLY to Linda. No middleman. No organization. Just neighbor helping neighbor.
The Impact
- Linda gets what she needs NOW
- She feels seen and not forgotten
- We KNOW where the donation went
- Direct impact, visible result
"I like to see the people I reach.", LoDeana Jones
Youth Legacy
๐ฑ Riley, Emmery & Miller, Breaking Cycles
Youth Legacy Program
What Happened
We started teaching life skills to Riley, Emmery, and their friend Miller. The goal: build habits that last a lifetime and break generational cycles early.
What We Did
- Taught room organization: how to keep a bedroom clean
- Life skills: dishwasher, kitchen cleaning, organization
- Provided supplies: shoe rack, purse hooks, backpack hooks
- Started gardening basics
The Impact
Riley & Emmery now CHECK ON MILLER regularly, holding her accountable and taking ownership of the program.
Miller got so inspired she RECRUITED A FRIEND and started teaching her the same skills.
Riley also RECRUITED A FRIEND. Kid teaching kid, the ripple effect in action.
"This is what we mean by breaking generational curses, teaching kids skills their parents may not have learned."
